Mid-Century Modern 1:64 Scale House - The Hillside Kit
$129.99
The Hillside is an S scale 2-story house (1:64). The kit is built with an MDF frame and chipboard siding, roofing, and decking. Once assembled it is very sturdy. Its overall dimensions are 14.5" wide x 9" deep x 5" tall. The conceptual photo shows the inspiration for this design.
The brickwork is cut in sheets and is easily assembled. The vertical siding is comprised of sheets that are cut to individual pieces. The decking is installed as sheets. The roof pieces are removable, as are the upper floor pieces, allowing access to the interior of the house. This isn't a cheap kit you will knock out in an afternoon. Plan to set aside some time to do this one right.
Like all of my kits, this is laser cut from 3mm MDF, with accents and extras cut from thin chipboard. The Hillside has a surprising amount of detail considering the scale. This is not a difficult build, but it does require some time and patience.
There are small parts in these kits. They are not recommended for children under the age of three.
I spent quite a bit of time designing and refining the Hillside, both the kit and the accompanying installation material. I am very pleased with the results, and I think you will be too.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
